Ingredients: Chocolate puttu

Rice flour (roasted) - 2 cups

Cocoa powder - 1/4 cup

Sugar (powdered) - 1 cup

coconut (grated) - 1/2 cup

salt - a pinch

In a large vessel put rice flour and cocoa powder. Add a pinch of salt and sugar. Add water little by little at the time and mix well with finger tips. when you take a handful of flour and press it between your fist, it should hold its shape, when you press it again a little harder, it should crumble. This is the right consistency. The flour should crumbly and moist. There should be no lumps. You can blend it in a mixer grinder for 2-3 seconds using the pulse mode. keep it aside for 15 minutes.

Take a puttumaker and add grated coconut first and then the flour. Place the pressure cooker with water on stove without whistle and once the water start boiling you can see the steam coming out from the pressure cooker whistle. Then you can place the puttumaker with flour on the top of the cooker. After sometime steam will come out from the puttumaker, allow 5 minutes to steam . Remove the puttumaker carefully from the whistle and invert it on a serving plate. Have it hot with ice cream or bananas .
