Ingredients : Chicken Perattu Recipe

Chicken - 1 kg

Ginger chopped - 1tbs

Garlic chopped - 1tbs

green chillies - 5

Onion - 3

Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

Red chilli powder - 1+1/2 tsp

Coriander powder - 1 tsp

Black pepper powder - 1 tbs

Garam masala - 1 tbs

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

Salt

Oil



Method:


Take a pan or kadai and switch on the stove. Add oil in the pan. When the oil become hot splutter mustard seeds. Then add chopped ginger and garlic. Saute it and add green chillies , when it become golden colour, add sliced onion and sauté . Add chicken when onion turns brown. stir it. At this time add turmeric powder and salt . Close the pan with lid and cook for 10 minutes in a medium flame. water will come out from chicken, then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder and garam masala to the curry. Mix well and close the pan. Cook for another 10 minutes, stir occasionally. Garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves. Chicken perattu is now ready to be served and it is suitable for rotis, nan and rice varieties.
