Chicken dry fry recipe Ingredients


Chicken - 1

Onions - 2

Shallots - 1/2 cup

Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp

Garlic pods - 2 tsp

Ginger - 1 piece

Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Black Pepper powder - 1 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Red chilli powder - 2Tbs

Oil to fry

Curry leaves and Coriander leaves


Method:


In a mixer grinder add shallots, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, turmeric powder, chilli powder, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, pepper powder and cumin seeds and grind to a smooth paste.


Heat a deep bottomed pan and fry the onions till golden brown. Take it and keep aside. Add some water to the ground masala and pour into the pan with the same oil used to sauté the onion slices. Add enough salt. When the oil coming out from the ground masala add chicken pieces to the pan. Add a little water if needed and put the lid on the pan for the chicken to cook well. Once the water starts to dry up, add the fried onion and wait until the chicken gravy reduces . Spicy chicken dry fry is ready to be served.
