Toxic mold exposure can lead to Environmental sensitivity, hormonal imbalance, heavy metal toxicity, allergies, blurred vision, joint pain, inflammation, candida, gut issues, fatigue, autoimmune disorders, hashimotos, low thyroid, hypothyroidism, brain fog, nerve and muscle twitching, weakness, , memory loss, depression and so much more. It causes systemic poisoning.
Be patient with your healing. It takes a while for the body to detox and heal itself. Most of my healing happened in the first few months, with brain fog and joint pain being the slowest to clean up completely. It also took a while (a few years) for my kidneys to get strong again. I had amazing high energy the entire time I was on my protocol and I felt great. The flare-ups were small and infrequent in the first year and they decreased progressively.
What helped me:
Diet was 80-90% of what helped me. Low fat, high fruit, raw, nothing processed diet. I ate fruits and soft leafy greens for a few months until I felt 60% better. After that I continued with the same diet but less strict. I had some steamed pumpkins, asparagus, artichokes, carrots. For fats, I added some olives, nut milks. Look into High Carb Low Fat Vegan Recipes for salad and meal ideas. Nothing fermented because fermented foods contain molds and yeasts which can cause cross-sensitivity. No kombucha, water kefir or saurkrout while feeling very sick. After a while, sourdough, saurkraut and kombucha can be tolerated but I am not convinced that they are beneficial. In Ayurveda fermented foods are considered rotting and rajasic - unclean. Dairy products and eggs are some of the worst offenders as they affect our hormones and feed mold, viruses and yeasts in the body. Candida is often present during mold exposure and the best way to heal it within days is to avoid fats and go for the juicy fruits combined with greens. If you can buy fresh produce, go for fresh above anything else. High water content fruits are the most effective. Greens can regulate the blood sugar at first. Avoiding dried fruits such as dates at first is necessary.
Best fruits- melons, organic berries, oranges, GRAPES, apples, cherimoyas, cherries, pears, peaches, apricots, kiwis, jackfruit and really all fruits.
Sometimes after keto, paleo, candida and SAD diets it is best to do an intestinal cleanup and some parasite cleanses. Fruit alone can also do that but some help might be needed if very sick.
