ingredients: Cheera Thoran Recipe


Red Spinach| Cheera| Lal Amaranth - A bunch

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp

Coconut oil - 1/4 cup

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp

Onion(chopped) - 1/4 cup

Salt

Green chilly - 5

Coconut (grated) - 1/2 cup



Method:


Wash red spinach with lots of water and chopped finely. Splutter mustard seeds and urad dal. After add onion and green chillies, sauté well for 3 minutes. Then add turmeric powder and red chilli powder and sauté . now the time to add red spinach. stir well, cover the pan. Stir occasionally. When the water evaporates add coconut and mix. cook for another 2 minutes. Now the cheera thoran is ready to be served.
